Community Futures Board has worked hard to create a Board that is representative of the community. The current Board includes members from a variety of business/economic sectors, the social service sector, and First Nations. Gender, age, community interests, and expertise were also considered in developing the make-up of the Board.

Karen is a former college instructor and post-secondary administrator and is currently self-employed as a community and organizational development consultant. Her primary contracts at this time are with the North Cariboo Aboriginal Family Program Society and the Child Youth and Family Network.

Janet owns and operates Dragon Mountain Farms. The farm produces organic vegtables and lamb. In addition to volunteering for Community Futures Janet is an active member of the Quesnel Farmer's Market.

Bernice Heinzelman
Bernice is a retired School District Principal. In addition to Community Futures Bernice is active with the Quesnel and District Community Arts Council, Central Interior Regional Arts Council, Quesnel Theatre Action group, and Quesnel Multi-cultural Society.

Cory Clark
Cory previously owned the Troll Ski School and was Station Master for Rocky Mountain Vacations.

Shannon Jonasson
Shannon is forestry contracter and is working toward her Registered Professional Forester designation. Shannon is a member of Westbank First Nations.

Ron Dunn
Ron is VP Corporate Development at C&C Wood Products Ltd. He is also a Registered Professional Forester. Ron and his family operate a market garden and a woodlot in Quesnel.
Geronimo is Chief of the Red Bluff Indian Band. Geronimo is responsible for the Band's archeological activities as well as working on economic initiatives. He is a Board member of the North Cariboo Aboriginal Family Program Society and a member of the social and economic development commitees for the Cariboo-Chilcotin Beetle Action Coalition.

Greg has over 20 years of experience in community and business development. He currently a member of the Quesnel Rotary Club, the 16-97 Economic Alliance, and North Cariboo Post-Secondary Education Council. Greg has a Diploma in Business Administration from Mount Royal College and an MBA from the University of Northern British Columbia.

Keith Brookes
Client Service Officer/Loans Officer
Keith originates from Saskatchewan where he worked for the Credit Union system for 23 years in loans and management positions. A career opportunity arose to move and work in B.C and Keith joined Community Futures in Quesnel in 1999. He is responsible for client services and the business loans program for the organization. Keith is active with the Chamber of Commerce and was elected President of the Chamber in 2008.

Sonya is the newest member of the North Cariboo Community Futures team starting in August 2008 as a Client Service Officer. She is a recent MBA graduate from UNBC and a familiar face in Quesnel. Sonya managed the mall until 2007 when she took a position with the Royal Bank as a Senior Account Manager until her recent appointment at Community Futures. Sonya has been an active community member and has sat on various boards including the Chamber of Commerce, the West Quesnel Business Association and the Economic Development Corporation. Sonya’s responsibilities will include client services, marketing and project development.

Donna joined the Community Futures staff in August 2006. She will be the first one to greet you. She will help get you started with information and business resources.

Siggi is the part-time bookkeeper for Community Futures. She has over ten years experience in the German and Canadian banking systems. She and her family are operating a administration and consulting business in Quesnel.
