Video Conferencing - The Final Communications Frontier for Business.

This is the mission of Community Futures: to provide an efficient and effective way for business and or organizations to both host and attend meetings, courses, workshops, seminars and conferences. To seek out new and creative uses of our technology. To boldly go where others have never gone before with Video Conferencing.

The applications of video conferencing are limitless including business meetings and staff recruitment.

It is also the mission of Community Futures to provide you with current business resources. In partnership with Small Business B.C we are pleased to offer video conference training seminars and workshops that cover a variety of topics. Check out our calendar for upcoming training opportunities.

Business Loans

Community Futures provides loans from $500-$125,000 to new, existing or expanding businesses which meet the following criteria:

  • The proposed venture must provide a benefit to our region either through demonstrated job creation or diversification of the local economy.
  • The business must be commercially viable.
  • The owner has a reasonable personal investment in the business.
  • The business has reasonable security to be pledged against the loan.
  • The applicant is unable to receive funding from traditional sources. e.g banks, credit unions

All loan applications are given fair consideration, however preference is given to ventures that address all of the above criteria as well as fall into one of the following sectors:

  • Value-added
  • Tourism
  • Agriculture
  • Technology
  • Manufacturing
